Gaelic Grove
Colours, animals and counting as Gaeilge.
Hear a word and find its picture, then hear it and say it back. Every word is spoken aloud, so no Irish is needed at home. Saying it back needs no microphone and is never scored.

Seven sets, one growing garden
In the order your child's teacher uses.
Each set adds a few new sounds, and every word in it uses only sounds already taught, so your child can sound out every one. Six stars in a set and they're ready for the next.

Today's Lesson
A short lesson that ends by itself
One button plays a short run of games from the set your child has reached, in the same order every day: hear the sounds, read words, build words, then a puzzle. It leans on whatever they found tricky, and forgets it when the lesson ends.
You pick 3, 4 or 6 games
They play in teaching order
Then it stops
No timers, no streaks, no “play again” push, and a Finish button is always there.
Our promises
Learning first. Nothing to worry about.
No ads, ever
Nothing is sold to children.
No pop-ups and nothing to buy in the games. Prices sit behind a grown-ups-only question.
Just a nickname
No real names, no birthdays.
A nickname and their stars are all the app keeps about a child.
A real voice
Every letter sound, not a robot.
All 42 letter sounds are recorded by a real person.
Words they can read
Only the sounds they've learnt.
Every word in a set uses only the sounds taught so far, so your child can sound it out.
Calm mode
One switch turns off stars and praise.
For children who like things quiet. They still move through the sets in order.
A whiteboard view that stores nothing about any pupil.

Questions parents ask
What age is it for?
Junior and senior infants, around ages 4 to 6. It starts from the very first sounds, so your child doesn't need to read to begin.
What's free?
Set 1 with all six of its games, plus Number Nook and Gaelic Grove, for good, with no card and no account. All seven sets and Story Corner come with the subscription.
What devices does it work on?
Any phone, tablet or computer with a web browser, including Amazon Fire kids' tablets. Add it to your home screen and it works like an app, even offline.
Do I need to sit with them?
Not once they've started. Everything is spoken aloud, so a child who can't read yet can play on their own.
How long is a lesson?
You choose 3, 4 or 6 short games in For Grown-ups. Today's Lesson plays them and then stops. There's no timer and nothing nudging them to keep going.
Does my child need to speak Irish?
No. Gaelic Grove says every word aloud and shows its picture, so it works in homes where no one speaks Irish.
What do you know about my child?
Only the nickname you choose and the stars they earn: no real name, no birthday, no photos, no recordings. The privacy page has the details.
